My name is Amanda Chauncy. I completed my Undergraduate degree at Salve Regina University in 2010. I majored in Marketing and minored in Info Systems Management and Business Administration. I started out in the Software Industry and realized that wasn’t for me. I transitioned to Raytheon in January 2011. I have been working there for the past 3 ½ years. I am currently in Supply Chain and manage a large subcontract for several different programs. I started my MBA at Bentley in Summer 2013, and am almost half way done with my degree. I plan to concentrate in Management (although I am officially registered as having a concentration in Marketing). I’m from Stoneham, MA which is in the suburbs but close enough to Boston. I enjoy all Boston sports teams, especially the Red Sox. I am extremely close to my family; my sister is my best friend and worst enemy all in the same day. I enjoy all things to do with the water; I am an ocean fanatic. I also enjoy traveling. I recently went to Italy, Spain and Cyprus!
I chose Bentley for my MBA because the program was extremely flexible. I was also receptive to the fact that some classes could be waived if I excelled in them during Undergrad. I also was interested in International Business and found Bentley was one of the only schools in the Boston area that offered short-term study abroad programs. With a demanding schedule at work, I knew at Bentley I could pick and choose how many classes I wanted to take per a semester.
I’m looking to give readers an honest feedback of Bentley and possibly some opportunities to take that they would have never realized, such as the short term study-abroad programs. Bentley has a solid network that graduate students should take advantage of.
